DIOSES-The Movie Josué Méndez was born in 1976 in Lima, Perú. He graduated in Film Studies and Latin American Studies from Yale University in 1998. DIOSES is an exploration on the day-to-day life inside a determined social group, that of the Peruvian upper class. A group that has chosen to isolate itself, geographically and intellectually, from the serious economical and social problems affecting the country.

The Peruvian music maker Jaime Cuadra hits the big screen in the new James Bond flick 'Quantum of Solace.' Last year while on a trip to Lima, Peru I met Cuadra at his music studio to talk about his music, which has been dubbed Peruvian Chillout. A year later I find out three songs from Cuadra's platinum record 'Cholo Soy: Peruvian Waltz Chillout' will forever be immortalized in the 22nd James Bond film. Cuadra who is overjoyed with his latest success says, 'It is a great step forward for Peruvian music.'

Peru wil dat de naam pisco beschermd wordt en dat alleen wat bereidt wordt in het Pisco dal en omringende gebieden die naam mag dragen. In het Pisco dal is de drank ontstaan en alleen daar wordt het nog volgens de traditionele wijze bereid, luidt het Peruaans argument.
